Brooke & Thad – Engaged!

Every once and awhile you shoot an engagement session where you laugh so hard you cry, Brooke and Thad were THAT couple! There were so much fun and Thad had some of the best one liners I have heard. Since laughing pictures are some of my favorites, I’ll start with this one…

It’s hard to believe it was 30 degrees the day we shot these… They were troopers!

I love the way they look at each other… Love and laughter go hand in hand!

Congratulations, I can’t wait to shoot your wedding in a few months!!

Katie & Justin – Engaged

Alice Anne & Josh – Engaged!!

I knew when I first met Alice Anne that we would be friends, we met to talk about her wedding, and before I knew it, almost 3 hours had passed, and I think we may have mentioned it a few times, but had so many other things in common that we barely discussed it. So when we got together for her engagement session, I knew we would have a great time, and I actually got to meet most of the family and it was one big crazy afternoon. I will spare the details, but there was laughing , crying, a lost purse, a fast toddler, multiple dogs, horses, and big cow, I mean steer with a really long name that I already forgot. I laughed so many times I lost count. Her fiance Josh is so much fun, and the guy can work it.. I’m pretty sure he was a model at some point and just wouldn’t fess up. Alice Anne is truly GORGEOUS, and Sweet and has such a fun spirit, I am so excited to shoot their wedding this spring! Congratulations Alice Anne and Josh!

The Miller Family

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year…. Win a free session!

As I sit here with wedding files up to my ears, toys, wrapping paper and Christmas decorations to be put away, I took a moment to look back at 2009, and WOW, what a great first year I had here in Alabama, so I wanted to do something to give back to all the great clients and people who have followed my photos over the past few years. So I decided to give away a photo session to one random winner! I am giving away a 1 hour session, and this can be any type of session, bridal, maternity, Senior, baby, family, etc. I have even had lots of e-mails from people who have received their new camera for Christmas, and wanting to know i I offer any photo classes. Since I currently do not, you can use this session as a 1 hour learning shooting/ session. All you have to do is fill out the form below to be entered in the drawing!

Not only will I be drawing one random winner, but I will also be choosing the entry with the best answer to why they want to win a photo session!

Brooke’s Bridals!

I first talked to Brooke months ago about shooting her wedding, and we talked and laughed and talked about so many fun things, I felt like I had known her forever! We have like 7,004 things in common, well maybe not that many, but it sure felt like it. Our obsession for hand sanitizer was an instant bond! So when I met her for her Bridal session it was like a reunion! We had to take a break from chatting to shoot her bridal portraits.

We shot at the Oak Bowery Reserve right outside of Auburn, it is is truly amazing, there were so many unique areas to shoot, I could have shot forever!

Brooke is not only gorgeous, but she is also a recent law school graduate!

Brooke’s mom Jinny came along, LOVE her, and she shot pictures of me shooting Brooke! I have on my serious face here…

Congratulations Brooke! I can’t wait to shoot your wedding next month!

Jenna & Jarret >> Married!!!

When I first met Jenna and Jarret, I also had the pleasure of meeting Jenna’s parents, Burl and Bonnie. I usually don’t meet the parents until the day of the wedding, but I’m so glad I got to know them. They are one of the kindest and warmest families I have ever met, and they also have a great sense of humor. They welcomed me with open arms, and I truly enjoyed being a part of their daughters big day. I also met Jarret’s parents during their engagement session, so seeing everyone at the wedding was so much fun. At one point my assistant told me one of the wedding guests asked her if she was the photographer they had heard so much about, so I think they liked me just as much as I liked them! Thank you to Jenna, Jarret and both of their amazing families for having me as their photographer. Jenna and Jarret are both truly blessed to have such wonderful families.

This past Saturday Jenna & Jarret tied the knot in the beautiful First Baptist Church of Opelika, which is absolutley beautiful!

Jenna’s beautiful orchid bouquet was from Cathy Wayman of Bouquets. It was beautiful!

I love this beceause Jenna carried a pin on her bouqet with her grandmothers initals.

I shot this image below and then showed it to her on the back of the camera and told her to look how gorgeous she was on her wedding day! She looked at it and smiled and said she just hired a good photographer… I disagree. I have three words for Jenna. Drop. Dead. Gorgeous!

They were not only in a wedding but they were also doing some modeling shots that day…

And since everyone always asks if I take regular “formal shots” I’ll post one. I just prefer the fun shots more!

Hanging out with Daddy…

The cake was beautiful and quite possible one of the BEST cakes I have ever tasted. Cake by Sonshine Cakes. I not only had one piece, but since there were leftovers, I had two… Now that is good cake!

A family in the park…

I shot a quick session in the park with Courtney, her little sister Riley, and her brother Hadden. Mom was in town so she wanted some of the kids together since Courtney is in college here in Auburn. So here’s a quick sneak peek!

I think the water fountain was about the only thing that kept Riley entertained today!

Luckily the dog water fountian gave her the extra boost she needed!

Craig & Darci >> Engaged

I had the opportunity to shoot Craig and Darci’s engagement on the beautiful Auburn University campus. The were so much fun… We laughed, we sweat, and we laughed some more. The humidity has been brutal, and I have to give credit to all my clients over the past few weeks for being great sports with this super hot weather.

Here is the gorgeous Darci… She is not only beautiful, but has the most amazing skin!
