Family Portraits 2009

Having a house full of boys, I rarely get a chance to hang out with little girls, but all that changed when I photographed this family. Little Miss R just turned one and is as cute as can be!

She has the longest eyelashes!

Her big sister joined her for a few images. They LOVED the fall leaves!

Can I keep this baby… Please????

I have two boys, both of which I love more than anything… but I found a baby that I totally want to keep! Miss Maddie is Adorable in every way possible. (Notice the capital A!) Not to mention that during this shoot I captured quite possible one of my favorite family images EVER!!!!!

See… I told you she was a keeper…

Actually the entire family is just perfect.

But this one…. She stole my heart…

And then on to Mom and Dad…

It’s not hard to see what they have such a beautiful daughter!

A family in the park…

I shot a quick session in the park with Courtney, her little sister Riley, and her brother Hadden. Mom was in town so she wanted some of the kids together since Courtney is in college here in Auburn. So here’s a quick sneak peek!

I think the water fountain was about the only thing that kept Riley entertained today!

Luckily the dog water fountian gave her the extra boost she needed!

Riley is 4… and she is ADORABLE!!!

If you have met me, you might have noticed that I never really meet a stranger. I love meeting new people and finding out all about them, and more often than not, we have something in common. When I met with Riley’s family, we both recently moved to Auburn from the Western side of the country, we both have 4 year olds that will be going to the same school, and we both love Dancing with the Stars. Well, to be honest, I love dancing with the stars because I am just amazed at the talent of the dancers, and I secretly wish I had some dance skills. They love dancing with the stars, because little Riley’s Dad has a sister that actually dances on the show! Yes… you heard me right! I was so impressed, I rattled off all my favorites, and hope they didn’t think I was a DWTS stalker. After they told me who the dancer was, I could totally see the resemblance, especially in little Riley who is 4!

Yes count them… She is a big F-O-U-R!

How cute is she????

Now how cute is this whole family???

This is one of my favorites!

So many great genes in one family should be illegal!

A Surprise Family Session!

When Christie booked her family session, I knew her family was in town from all over, including Alaska, but I didn’t know it was a surprise… And then Surprise… It was picture time! So they were surprised, I was surprised… Good times were had by all, except for when I stood in a fire ant hill… AGAIN! Note to self… Watch where I’m standing! This makes twice this month!

An Auburn Family Portrait

This week I had a session with a very special Auburn family. They had recently adopted three little boys from Ukraine and were ready for a new family picture. Having two boys myself, I prepared for a whirlwind of boys, but was so impressed at how sweet and well behaved that these little boys were. I could have easily kept them for my own.

How cute are these little guys???

What a fun family!

Let me just say getting 3 boys swinging at all the same time is nearly impossible… But we had fun trying!

We even had a tickle party!

Do you ever meet someone and instantly feel like you know them? You laugh at the same things and have the same interests… and then it just gets better from there… That’s how it was the first time Lisette and I met, and it just gets more fun every time we get together.

Last weekend I got together with our friends, fellow photographer Lisette Price and her husband Tim. Lisette shot our family Christmas pictures and I photographed them, being the fun couple that they are! It was also the day after Lisette’s 25th birthday!

I’ll start with this one.. Which is my favvvooorrite… GORGEOUS!!!

The we got a little crazy with Mr. Roboto…

And then everybody was Kung Foo fighting…..

I LOVE when the people I photograph have fun and enjoy themselves…. Thanks Tim & Lisette, I had fun, and I think you guys did too!

Auburn in the Fall

Fall was in full force today for this family session! I usually convert some images to black and white, but the autumn colors were just too gorgeous to change. The lake behind their home made an amazing backdrop, so much that I’d love to photograph every family there! The grounds at their home were amazing, but I will let you see for yourself… Here’s a great family and a taste of autumn in Alabama.

Caldwell and family…

Having a toddler myself should have prepared me for a fast kiddo, but Mr. Caldwell is possibly the fastest kiddo I have met. Instead of chasing him we decided he could be the winner when he slowed down to take a picture, and guess what… It kind of worked. If only I could be a winner every time I slowed down! Here’s the fast winner Mr. Caldwell and his adorable family!
