Happy Halloween!!

This was the first year both of my boys wanted to be something scary or cool.  In the all the years before at least one of them was something fuzzy or had a tail… But alas they are growing up!   The days of freckles made with eyeliner have now been replaced with fake blood and plastic masks.  :(   But I can at least enjoy the loot they bring home! :)

Have a safe and Happy Halloween!

Here’s a point and shoot of the boys and their candy candy haul!

Trisha & Dan… ENGAGED!

Trisha and Dan  are one of those couples that you love to hang out with.  They are fun, romantic, silly, and totally in love.  I was so excited when they chose me to shoot their wedding and engagement session. We shot their Engagement session in Phoenix, Arizona, and there wedding will be in Sedona, AZ! I can’t wait for their big day!

When we talked about their engagement session, we wanted to incorporate all the things that they do together and tell the story of Dan & Trisha. So we started in the bedroom…

I ABSOLUTELY had to include this sign that Trisha’s Dad left on the bedroom door…  Apparently there are no camels (especially ones with humps) allowed in the bedroom until after the wedding day!  HA! :)

This is their baby!

Yes, They are a great looking couple!

Dan is a triathlete, so his bike made a special appearance…

Did I mention they LOVE Starbucks

I told you they were fun!

The Chamberlain Family

This past weekend I packed my bags and headed back to Arizona for some very special sessions.  Despite the flight delays and the hassle of traveling in general, Arizona is the place to be.  The weather is always great and my clients are possibly some of the most amazing people you will ever meet.  Which brings me to the Chamberlain family.  They are SOOO much fun and possibly the nicest and most generous families I have ever met. On to some pictures…

I actually forced them to take a “couples” shot.  They just didn’t realize it’s because I was planning to slip it over the old one where they have 80’s hair!  Then after I thought about it, I realized that the 80’s hair shows that these two have been together for a LONG time and that is an achievement in itself.  So we’ll leave the 80’s hair picture not only because it gives me a big smile (and a small giggle), but it also reminds me that these guys have been in love FOREVER!!!

Can you guess who was done with my camera???  I think this is a toddler protest.  :)

Someone is a Daddy’s girl!

Arizona Sneak Peek…

I’m back in Arizona shooting a few sessions this weekend, and I took a quick break to edit a couple to post on the blog…

Here’s a sneak peak of Kim’s senior pictures…

And here’s a quick one from The Chamberlain’s family session.  Can you guess who didn’t want to participate today???

A couple more sessions today, more to come in a few days!

Waiting on baby…

I met Graham and Stacy in Columbus, GA this week and I have to say they are an amazing couple.  They are expecting their first baby on December 14th, the same day as my youngest sons birthday.  They have an amazing connection and I have no doubt they will make amazing parents.

I have a ton of images from their session, and I can’t post some of my favorites due to the fact that I try to keep the blog somewhat family friendly, and their session was very intimate.   But I do have some favorites that I can share…

This is one of favorite of them together… If it’s a boy or a girl, he/she will be gorgeous, just look at the parents! :)

Workshop + the Nolens!

Last weekend I headed to Birmingham to hang out with some great photographers and shoot a super cute family.  The Nolens are also photographers, but were behind the camera this time.

Here’s Daddy making faces to get Grayben to laugh… I’m laughing, and I’m not even a baby!  :)  Sorry guys, I couldn’t resist!

Here’s a behind the scenes shot, talk about paparazzi!

Mommy’s sweet baby boy…

Thanks to Amelia, Emily, Camille, the Nolens, and everyone else at the worshop.  It was fun!

The beach, the boys and the boats!

A nice thing about living in Auburn, Alabama is that the beach is only a three hour drive away.  We took full advantage of the sunny forecast and headed to Panama City Beach in Florida.  Luckily we have family that is also within driving distance so we all spent the day hanging out on the beach.  I left my camera behind since I know what the sand does to my cel phone, but my brother in law braved the sand and salt water and let me play with his Nikon.  I should also mention he brought along his cornhole game that I have only played twice but managed to get 2, yes count em’, 2 bags in the hole!!!!  That’s a first for me, and yes, I’m not normally picked  to be on anyone’s team!  ;)

We were also there for the offshore boat race, which is mind blowing to see these boats race.  What’s almost as impressive is how they sound.

Here’s the boys hanging out at the beach…

Don’t ask about the neon orange hat… Daddy though it was a great idea so we could spot him easily…LOL!  This image could easily be confused for a baywatch rescue scene.

Some friendly cornhole competition…

Score is 5 to 3 in the first round…

I think the sunset wins… Sorry guys!  Even though it was a Nikon, I think Mike’s camera did good… I may have to consider a new brand!  :)
