Haute Momma

I have only a few pictures of me carrying my boys,  and when I look back , I wish I had done more to preserve those memories.

It’s becoming more popular these days for expecting moms to schedule maternity portrait sessions, not only to capture those beautiful bellies, but to show mom how smokin’ she really is, even if she does feel like she has a 40 lb basketball hitching a ride under her shirt.

Here’s just a sneek peek with an expectant mommy, and I’ll save the rest for the happy new parents…

Happy Birthday Alec!

Kids grow so quickly.  It doesen’t seem like 10 years ago, I gave birth to a 9 lb 12 oz baby boy…  Happy Bithday Alec!

Baby Brynn & family

Yesterday little Brynn turned one!  Happy Birthday Brynn!  We met at the park to get Brynn’s one year pictures and after I shot about 20 images, poor little Brynn was flush red and sweaty.  OK, OK, and I was hot and sweaty too!  So we only got a couple images before retreating to the air conditioning in our cars.  Here’s a couple cute shots of an absolutely adorable family!

This is probably my favorite, with a vintage touch…

And here’s the birthday girl…

A litle stroll with Mom and Dad

I’m guessing she might be a Daddy’s girl…

Sideline Headshots

Let me start by saying I am a very lucky photographer, I have some of the best clients that anyone could ever ask for, I seem to have a great time and meet some amazing people with every session that I book.  Today was no different.  I met with a group of eight individuals from Sideline Inc., a new company that was meeting here in the East Valley.

I’m definitely not qualified to describe their product, but you should really check out their website.  The display monitors that attach to your current computer screen have me intrigued!

We braved the humidity today at The Ocotillo Golf Resort in Chandler, Arizona.  Here are a few of their shots from today.  Thanks to Ben and the rest of the group.  Have a great weekend!

Airplane, Airplanes, Everywhere!

We took a trip down to Tucson, AZ to the Pima Air and Space Museum.  I really wasn’t sure what to expect, but was shocked at how many planes they actually have have parked in the desert.  If you are going in the heat, I would suggest taking the tram ride, as it gets pretty warm in the Arizona sun.

As always, I packed the camera, so here’s a few images…

This big guy is called a Super Guppy! No, not the guy walking down below, the plane!  he he

They even have President Kennedy’s Air Force One…

10 things you didn’t know…

So I have come to understand that the purpose of a photography blog is so that readers get you know you as well as see your work and the images you create.  Ideally brides should be able to know your personality if they are going to spend their entire wedding day with you.  Makes sense… So , I am posting 10 random things about me that you might not know.  I had to think hard, really, I did, and this is all I came up with!

1. I love Diet Coke
2. I read James Patterson books
3. My husband turns up the radio when I sing
4. I use the internet way too much
5. I can’t keep a straight face when someone falls
6. I have 2 cute sons, and one hot husband
7. I say whooo hooo (It’s the new “Cool”)
8. Sometimes my mouth goes faster than my brain
9. I grew up in Indiana… Go Boilers!
10. I have clients say “buttcheeks” if they refuse to smile… Gets em’ every time!

Leave me a comment with a fun fact about you…

Can you guess what this is????

First things first… We have a brand new blog!  Yeah… Thank you Jared for all your hard work and coding and all that stuff you do to make things so functional.  I heart my new matching blog with great big images!

Now on to the image… Can you guess what this is???  If you guessed a pool noodle, you are almost right.  If you guess a pool noodle tied into a pretzel, you are getting closer.  If you guess a work out tool… DING DING DING!  You win!  Sorry… there is no prize, just bragging rights!

Let me explain.  My Aunt Shirley came to visit and she teaches water aerobics in Indy.  So we had our own private water aerobics class in the backyard.  At first I was thinking this would be cake… Uh… Well.. Not so much.  One of the things I learned was that if you tie a pool noodle into a pretzel, you can use it as a dumbbell in the water.   So you basically hold onto this thing and push it into the water using different methods, arms straight out or bending at the elbows, etc.  (I’m no instructor, bare with me!) And after several reps, I was actually a little sore.  So I am a believer… You can do more than float and drink margaritas in the pool!

Cute Beach Boys

I may be somewhat partial… But I think these are the cutest beach boys ever…  OK, so one is my son and the other is my husband, but they are pretty cute in my book.

Big Boys like to fish all by themselves so no one scares away the fish!  And wouldn’t you know while I was in the house, a big crab grabbed ahold of his little plastic fish and he reeled him in!  Daddy didn’t have the camera, so we missed the big catch!

This guy went way far out to find some big ones…
